Task

  • Develop and lead the international grocery strategy.
  • Build the commercial model for grocery retail, including assortment, pricing, pack formats and retailer margins.
  • Define the retailer proposition and create compelling category and sell-in stories.
  • Lead Germany as the Year 1 proof market and turn learnings into a scalable international launch model.
  • Establish clear launch standards, market readiness criteria and go-to-market plans.
  • Prepare sales tools, buyer presentations, launch modules and commercial proposals.
  • Develop guidelines for promotions, trade investment and shelf presence.
  • Work closely with Brand, Portfolio, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, eCommerce and local market teams.
  • Monitor sell-out, distribution, product rotation, profitability, promotional ROI and retailer feedback.
  • Identify and manage potential channel conflicts between grocery, specialist pet trade, online and Super Premium.
  • Support the rollout of the grocery model in suitable international markets.

Expectations

  • Experience in grocery/FMCG, category management, trade marketing or customer strategy.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, promotions, margins and retailer economics.
  • Proven experience launching products or brands through retail channels.
  • Strategic, commercially minded and able to turn plans into action.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working across markets and functions.
  • Experience in pet food or consumer goods is an advantage.
